Research Interest

My research focuses on virology, molecular biology, and infectious disease diagnostics in both animal and human health. I study viral pathogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, the influence of host factors, antiviral drug screening, and the development of innovative diagnostic tools for infectious diseases. My work has involved investigating various pathogens, including equine herpesviruses, equine infectious anemia virus, equine arteritis virus, and SARS-CoV-2, using advanced molecular and cellular techniques. Additionally, I am using both bulk RNA sequencing and single-cell RNA sequencing to analyze gene expression and cellular responses in the context of viral infections.
